What kids learn in SPM

With the official LEGO powered machines kit, kids try out structures and forces, gears, pulleys, levers, and inclined planes by hand. They see how machines in daily life work and connect it to real technology.

Kids can build many of the mechanisms they see around them: slides and swings at the park, Ferris wheels and swing rides at the amusement park, plus cars, motorcycles, and bicycles.

What they learn

  • Structures and forces
  • Gears
  • Pulleys
  • Levers
  • Inclined planes

Highlights

What class looks like

01

Make it move

Each unit has an everyday theme, from slides and Ferris wheels to bicycles. Kids build it with their own hands and watch it turn.

02

Project-based classes

We bring in basic science and math, and encourage kids to use their imagination to build one-of-a-kind creations from all kinds of bricks. Science, art, and design, all in one.
